“Goodbye and Hello”

End of a day

Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and for the gospel, who will not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and the last first. …whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:29-31, 43b-45

Discipleship can be costly. Jesus wants nothing and no one to get in the way His relationship with us – not our possessions or wealth, not even our families or friends. Sometimes He calls us to let go of these things and people that we love, in order follow and worship Him alone.

God wants to be the top priority in our lives, our one, true God. Are you willing to say “goodbye” so that you can say “hello” to the future that our Lord has promised? Listen to the sermon below.
